Using tracks spanning the entirety of Auntie Depressant’s existence, we’ve fashioned a new EP of seven songs with recently added overdubs, completely remixed and remastered in order to make available music that has been close to our hearts for many years, yet nearly unavailable for almost as long.
Some of these recordings date as far back as 2006, with songwriting as far back as 2002. While we may have put some of this material on demo CD-Rs or on streaming services in the past, we often were unsatisfied with the recordings or performances. This project has allowed us to right the wrongs of our past and present this music in a way that we feel showcases these songs better than they’ve ever been heard previously. It’s been a long road to get here, but we can rest now knowing that we’ve done justice to our body of work. What you hear on “Nothing Better” is Auntie Depressant at our finest.
